Track restoration project phase 1 – Platform rebuild
The overall project has replaced the first 45 metres of track, to ensure continuing safe operation of the train. During the main project the old wooden platform was removed. This project will replace the platform with a taller one that will ease accessibility.
This is also an opportunity to change the way the platform is operated. A new more substantial handrail is being fitted and an “exit only” gate to ensure a safer operation.
